Once the service has been potholed a capped 90mm storm water pipe can be placed directly on top of the underground service at strategic points. The pipe is then color coded to indicate type of service, and size and depth of the service can be clearly written on the pipe. This not only provides a clear visual for contractors working around the services. The information can also be transferred to surveyor’s plans or project engineers for future planning purposes.

Using the latest in sub-surface utility infrastructure location devices and vacuum excavation techniques JNC Group is able to provide a complete underground utility mapping service. We have invested in the very latest Ground Penetrating Radar, Radio Frequency location, Vacuum Excavation equipment. (We can also arrange for qualified Surveyor to pick up the coordinates of exposed infrastructure, Northing, Easting’s & RL level with GPS or total stations, This will enable the mapping and exposure of all types of sub-surface utilities and services with absolute minimal risk.
